CHILDREN'S ORPHANAGE

TABARRE, HAITI

God gave us a vision to build an orphanage in Tabarre, a suburb outside of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The orphanage is built to house 20 children – boys and girls. In late January 2017, we were excited to have welcomed our first five children.

HWI is committed to improving the lives of our orphaned and underprivileged children by providing food, shelter, clean water, sanitation, and health care.  We believe every single child should be able to flourish in this type of environment and have access to a formal education.

Our children have the opportunity to learn through an on-site academy where we help guide and support them in their journey to becoming productive adult members of society. HWI strives to provide love and encouragement with the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With this, we will be able to help ensure positive, thoughtful, and empowered lives for the children.

Construction work progresses on first and second floor on the existing structure.

Professional builders and electricians volunteer to help frame the 2nd floor into nine bedrooms and four bathrooms.

After 4+ years of construction, HWI welcomes its first five children. Progression towards completed construction continues.
